What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy weekend in the winter?

“OH, nothing could be more prime than going up to the mountain and skiing in the fresh powder. Besides skiing though, I would love reading a good book and or playing music.”

What is your favorite band?

“When it comes to music, I am a man of many tastes. What I listen to really depends on what mood I am in. Coldplay is still in the top wrung with Flook, Radiohead, and Death Cab for Cutie coming in a close second. But then, it would be close to impossible to name all the bands I have on my I-pod.”

What are your plans for the school year?

“I’m going to attend Pierce College this year and next as part of the Running Start program. Along with school, I’m going to continue pursuing music with piano and fiddle lessons as well as teaching piano and swing dancing at a home school co-op.”

What was the coolest thing you did this summer?

“On July 5th, my siblings and I had the opportunity to fly to the east coast and attend a Celtic music camp put on by the band, Leahy. At the camp, we were able to learn all about Cape Breton fiddling (a style of Celtic fiddle) and were taught by some of the best in the trade! The camp included seminars where you could ask anything about music and you would be educated to your heart’s content, classes on everything from fiddle to piano to bagpipes, and an American Idol style band competition (in which I did compete). Along with the camp, we were fortunate enough to stay in New York City and Boston. Our trip last for 2 and a half weeks and was life changing.”
