After a successful summer and a fantastic run at the Puyallup Fair, we are back in the regular swing of being a large family. Currently our time seems to be absorbed by school, music, friends, church, and sports (aka getting in shape for ski season).

Music:

We have been preparing
for the next few months filled with many holiday concerts and travels around the area. We are constantly looking for good new tunes and working on originals as well, but when it comes to Christmas songs, the field
of choices quickly narrows. Even so, we are excitedly looking forward to this season especially with all its reunions of family and friends, as well as the music and laughter that accompanies the season.

Aside from music, part of our preparation for the upcoming season, was to purchase a new trailer for our sound gear. We upgraded from our previous trailer which was a single axle 4x8 trailer to a dual axle 7x14 with enough room to bring a spare car… not that we would, it’s just nice to have that option and to no longer have to bend over while loading thousands of pounds of gear. Family:

We purchased our season ski passes to Snoqualmie several months ago and have been eagerly anticipating the upcoming winter season. Last year was a fantastic season with record amounts of snow around the Northwest. We are hopeful that we get some of that same powder again this season! During the summer months of hot and dry, we tamed our nearly fatal excitement by re-designing and painting our skis. David made a photo record of this process, which can be found on his Facebook account. Until the snow lets loose we are all trying to get our bodies in shape so when the mountains do open, we can thoroughly enjoy our time in the beauty of God’s creation.
